Sean thoroughly embraced the opportunity to compete against some of the best athletes in the USA and learn. We are so isolated here in Australia and tours such as these are enormously valuable. AUSA Hoops have the experience and knowledge among their administration and coaches to ensure not only that their teams will be showcased at tournaments that matter but also provide honest and realistic feedback about your expectations. The staff went above and beyond what we would have expected. The attention to detail that AUSA demonstrates during the planning of their tours is second to none.

What is AAU?
It is where college recruiting happens.
AAU basketball is the testing ground for all US high school players. At any given tournament there could be anywhere from 100 to 1,500 college coaches scouting for their next players. That's what makes the tournaments so valuable, they are a platform to prove you belong at the next level.
Playing AAU is the most ideal way for an Aussie player to get exposure to college basketball scouts. For a college coach, when an Aussie plays AAU they can evaluate you as a foreign player in an environment they understand. There is nothing like seeing a player perform live on the court.
If you aren't sure if college is for you, AAU can also be a phenomenal way to experience lots of games against American competition for your own development. Nothing here is easy, everyone is hustling, and inevitably each player will deal with adversity at some point and learn to grow from it.
Why is it right for my child?
The best platform to compete for a college scholarship
Everything we do on tour focuses on giving our players the best opportunity to achieve their college basketball dreams. The best way for American coaches to evaluate a player is by seeing them play against American players. By playing in high-level AAU tournaments against talented American competition, we provide the best platform available for Aussie players to prove they have what it takes to earn a US college scholarship.
Coaching and mentorship
When a player signs up to come on tour, they put themselves out there and say "I want to pursue this dream of playing college basketball." Playing college basketball is hard. Chasing your dreams is harder.
We make a concerted effort to make sure our players have the support they need as they face those challenges. As much as we focus on providing a platform for college recruiting success, we also provide a support system for personal growth, teaching the work ethic, accountability, and consistency required to be successful in basketball (and in any pursuit).
Expect to face physical, mental, and emotional challenges on tour.
Key outcomes:
- An understanding of the talent level in college basketball
- An understanding of where you fit into the college basketball landscape
- Experience with film evaluation and scouting reports
