aau tour structure

“this has been a life-changing experience that will propel each of the girls forward in their respective journeys throughout life. Apart from the myriad of positives they will all take away from such a great tournament and experience, they are now more culturally enriched and have newly-formed friendships and memories that will last forever. For that we thank you.”

The AUSA AAU TOUR

This is not a holiday, it is a business trip. Players will be pushed in practice, expected to attend study hall to prepare for their school exams, and take care of their bodies, just like a Division I NCAA student-athlete.

Our goal is to give AUSA players the best platform to pursue a college basketball scholarship.

And our coaches will be right there to support you through it all.

BOYS

We take Boy’s AAU Tours each year in May and June/July.

  1. May - This tour is ideal for players who have graduated the year prior to the tour. This period is the final opportunity to play AAU.

  2. July Senior - This tour is ideal for players who are in Year 12 in the same year as the tour. This is the most important time to play AAU. If you can only attend one tour, this should be the tour you attend. If you can’t attend this tour, the next best to attend is the May tour.

  3. July Junior - This tour is ideal for players who are in Years 9, 10 & 11. This tour is designed to give younger players a taste of what AAU is like (it is a different game!). It is important to help younger players understand the level they need to be at to play college basketball and to allow them some experience playing the US game. Come on this tour to help you decide if college basketball is what you want to pursue.

We select our tour locations based on where we believe the best AAU tournaments will be that year.

Coaching & Mentorship

When players sign up to come on our tour, they put themselves out there and say “I want to pursue this dream I have of playing college basketball'“. And playing college basketball is hard. Chasing your dreams is even harder.

We make a concerted effort to make sure that our players have the support they need as they face the challenges that come with chasing their dreams. As much as we focus on providing a platform for college recruiting success, we provide a support system for personal growth. We work to teach our players the work ethic, accountability and consistency required to be a success in basketball (and in any pursuit).

Expect to face physical, mental and emotional challenges on the tour.

Key Outcomes include:

  • An understanding of the talent level in college basketball

  • An understanding of where you fit into the college basketball landscape

  • Experience with film evaluation and scouting reports
