TOUR SAFETY

“The attention to detail that AUSA demonstrates during the planning of their tours is second to none. We were always kept fully informed and updated with their training schedule and playing results throughout the trip. We always felt that our son was in a safe environment.”

- JENELLE & PERO CAMERON

Why we are great at it.

Our people

AUSA Hoops’ experience in running AAU tours in a safe way is truly elite. Our tour organisers, staff and US-based AAU tour organisers are among the industry’s best.

We carefully select tour chaperons and coaches

Our carefully selected tour chaperons and coaches are responsibly for the safety and supervision of each team. Each team will have their own chaperone. They are all first aid qualified, are above 25+ years of age and hold a wealth of experience coaching basketball teams at all levels. Most have been on numerous AUSA AAU tours and American tour trips so this isn’t our “first rodeo'‘.

We sweat the small stuff

Preparation. Planning. Details. Our safety record is so impressive due to the amount of preparation for each trip. From thoroughly researching the tour, the AAU tournaments we attend, putting a curfew on the players so they are in their accommodation by a certain time, to our stringent coach selection process. We think of every detail to ensure peace of mind.

We’ve got you covered

All our players are required to get their own personal travel insurance to cover them on their tour. On top of that, AUSA takes out company insurances in both Australia and the USA to make sure everyone is looked after in any extraordinary situations.

We pick our tournaments with care

We aren't just going to LA every year because it's the cheapest flight. We are working with US tournament directors each year so we know where college coaches are. Our goal is to put your child in the best opportunity to get recruited. The AAU landscape shifts frequently so we stay aware and adjust to the dynamic of the tournaments.

Local and international support

We have staff in Australia and in the States while we are on tour. There is always someone you can contact on both sides of the world.
